About Madison, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Located in Morgan County, Georgia, Madison is a small city with about 4,000 residents. It the county seat, and its historic district is one of the state’s largest. The community is home to nearly 100 antebellum homes, many of which have been restored carefully. This is one of the many reasons that Madison has been named “The Prettiest small Town in America” by Holiday Travel magazine, and Budget Travel has ranked it as one of the world’s most picturesque villages.
When visiting Madison, the first place you will want to stop is likely the Madison-Morgan Welcome Center to learn more about the area. From there, many visitors choose to take a horse-drawn tour with North Georgia tours, and you can also check out attractions like Heritage Hall and Rogers House and Rose Cottage. If you need a break from all of that sightseeing, you can book a service and relax at the Spa at the James Madison Inn.
Madison is part of a humid subtropical climate zone, with winters that are warmer than other parts of the U.S. Average daily highs tend to reach the low-50s, but temperatures into the 60s or even higher aren’t entirely uncommon. However, many nights see overnight lows that fall into the 30s, and without a heat pump or furnace in place, indoor temperatures may become dangerously cold. Residents are also wise to have their units professionally serviced each autumn to make sure they are in proper working order.
Summers in Madison are quite different from the weather throughout the rest of the year. It can be extremely humid and hot, with high temperatures reaching into the 90s. Residents will need to have a safe place to stay cool, and a reliable central air conditioning unit can do the trick. These systems also go a long way to reduce monthly utility costs.
